MEET JL

New Leadership Delivering Results for Our Community

For more than two decades, I have proudly called Tucson my home. Like so many of you, my love for this city runs deep, but I can no longer stay silent about the serious challenges we’re facing—challenges that affect our families, our neighborhoods, and our future.

As a concerned citizen and a graduate of the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, with years of experience across different sectors, I’ve seen firsthand what strong, responsible leadership can accomplish—and what happens when it’s missing. That’s why I feel compelled to speak up and help inform my fellow Tucsonans about what’s at stake in our local elections.

Too often, we let others decide who represents us, or we sit out because we think one vote or one voice won’t matter. But local elections determine who sets our budgets, who prioritizes public safety, and who decides how our tax dollars are spent. The consequences of disengagement are real: rising crime, struggling small businesses, neglected streets, and a growing sense that City Hall has lost touch with the people it serves.

I’m committed to changing that by keeping voters informed and engaged. We need elected officials that puts Tucson families first—leadership that funds our police and fire departments properly, manages our finances responsibly, fixes potholes and improves traffic flow where it’s needed most, and tackles tough issues like homelessness and crime with practical, compassionate solutions that actually work.

We deserve representatives who listen to residents, seek out their ideas, and fight for every ward and every neighborhood—not just a select few. We deserve a city that feels safe to walk at night, clean to take pride in, and prosperous enough to offer opportunity to everyone willing to work for it.

That’s the Tucson I know we can have again. It starts with all of us paying attention, asking hard questions, and holding our leaders accountable. It starts with showing up to vote for the kind of future we want our kids and grandkids to inherit.

I’m just one concerned citizen doing my part to shine a light on what’s happening at City Hall and to encourage every Tucsonan to get involved. Together, we can demand better and build a brighter, stronger Tucson that we’re all proud to call home.

Thank you for caring enough to stay informed. Your voice matters—let’s use it.
